now, you know, the city of los angeles has literally rolled out the steel carpet for the shuttle. they've laid down some 9,000 pounds of steel to reinforce the streets to handle the weight of this shuttle. the city has been planning this event for about a year. they've had to cut down several trees, remove a bunch of streetlights, all for "endeavour's" final mission.
